Navigation
As noted earlier, ease of navigation - apart from making a site more usable and accessible - will also assist ease of access to automated search engine spiders
Where possible, menu bars should be repeated and identical throughout the site
Where possible, navigational structures should be limited to no more than one or two levels
Directory server structures should be kept as simple as possible, ideally single level and avoiding unnecessary multiple levels. This does, of course, depend on the size and complexity of the site
A "site map" should always be included, and is particularly important where the site structure is complicated. The site map should be accessible throughout the site, and in particular from the home page
